Thennarasu, an 11 years 10 months old male child hailing from Cuddalore district, has been diagnosed to have Rheumatic Heart Disease and Severe Mitral Regurgitation (a condition where the heart valves have been permanently damaged by rheumatic fever) at MIOT Hospital.
The medical team was planning for an elective surgery-mitral valve repair with an estimated treatment cost of Rs. 3,25,000/- (including surgery, ICU & hospital stay, post-OP investigations, and medications). Mr. Kudiarasu, child’s father works as a loadman and earns Rs. 500 per day, and the mother Ms. Rajapriya works as an agricultural laborer and earns Rs. 300/- per day. With this meager salary, they manage to take care of the entire household expenses, so they are helpless to help arrange the treatment cost of their son’s treatment. Realizing their poor situation, we have been arranging funds for his entire treatment. Hence, we humbly request your support to save the little boy’s life.
