Hanjana Sri. K M, a 9-month-old baby girl from Dharmapuri district, was born with a congenital heart disease. When she was just 13 days old, she developed a high fever and was taken to a private hospital. After thorough examination, doctors diagnosed her with a serious heart condition.Since then, her parents have taken her to multiple hospitals as she was experiencing poor weight gain and difficulty in feeding. She has been on medication ever since.
Recently, Hanjana Sri was referred to a free cardiac screening camp conducted by MIOT Hospitals, where she was diagnosed withLarge VSD, Severe Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension, Small PFO.
The medical team at MIOT Hospitals have advised urgent early elective heart surgery – VSD and ASD closure, which is estimated to cost ₹3,00,000.
Her father, Mr. Muralidharan, works as a daily wage labourer in a lorry workshop, earning just ₹700 per day. With this limited income, he is already managing his elder child’s education and basic household needs. He is unable to arrange such a huge amount in a short period of time.
