Ajay, a lively 5-year-old from Sithamalli village in Cuddalore district, has been bravely fighting a serious heart condition since he was just 3 years old. Initially, doctors were hopeful that the hole in his heart would close naturally, but instead, it grew—from 9mm to 12mm, and now to 14mm.
Recently, Ajay experienced sharp chest pain while at school, alarming his teachers who sent him home immediately. His concerned parents, Jaya Kumar and Durga Devi, rushed him to the nearest hospital. During a routine polio drop camp, a nurse urged them to seek specialized care at Cuddalore Government Hospital, where doctors from MIOT International diagnosed Ajay with Large OS ASD and an additional small fenestration.
Ajay now urgently needs an Elective Closure procedure to correct his heart condition. The surgery, along with ICU care, hospital stay, post-operative investigations, and medications, is estimated to cost Rs. 2,50,000/-.
