Nethra V., a 2-year-2-month-old girl from Dharmapuri district, was diagnosed with Congenital Heart Disease at the age of 3 months during a routine evaluation. Although she is currently asymptomatic, further investigations revealed a condition that requires timely treatment.
Nethra was referred to a free cardiac screening camp conducted by MIOT Hospitals at the Government Hospital in Dharmapuri. Following a comprehensive evaluation at MIOT Hospitals, doctors diagnosed her with a Large Ostium Secundum Atrial Septal Defect (ASD). The medical team has advised ASD device closure to prevent future complications and ensure that she grows up with a healthy heart.
The total cost of the procedure is ₹2,00,000, which includes the intervention, ICU care, hospital stay, post-operative investigations, medicines, and all necessary medical care.
Nethra’s father, Mr. Vijayakumar, works as a daily wage labourer at construction sites, earning approximately ₹500 per day. His income is unstable, and as the sole breadwinner of the family, he is unable to arrange the funds required for his daughter’s life-saving treatment.
Your generosity will not only help save a little girl’s heart but also give Nethra the opportunity to grow, play, learn, and dream like every other child.
