Six-year-old Kalish from Dharmapuri district has been battling a severe congenital heart condition since birth. Despite his parents’ efforts to seek medical help from various government hospitals and doctors over the years, finding a lasting solution to his condition remained a challenge.
In 2021, a free cardiac screening camp conducted by the MIOT team at Dharmapuri Government Hospital brought a ray of hope to Kalish and his family. During the camp, his critical condition was identified, and he was referred to MIOT Hospitals for further evaluation. He was diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot and a large subaortic malaligned Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD).
With timely medical intervention, Kalish underwent Tetralogy of Fallot repair surgery at MIOT Hospitals. In March 2026, he underwent another major procedure: RV-PA homograft and pulmonary artery bifurcation plasty. Despite these challenging medical journeys, Kalish continues to fight bravely for a healthier future.
However, his treatment journey is not over yet. Doctors have now advised balloon angioplasty of both branch pulmonary arteries (PAs) to address the remaining complications and improve blood flow to his lungs. The estimated cost of this life-improving procedure is ₹2,00,000.
Unfortunately, this expense is far beyond the family’s financial capacity. Kalish’s father, Mr. Elayaraja, is the sole breadwinner of the family and works as a painter. With his modest income, he struggles to meet even the family’s daily needs, making it impossible to bear the mounting medical expenses.
Today, Kalish needs your kindness and support to take another step towards a healthy childhood.
Your generous contribution can help fund his much-needed treatment and give him the opportunity to grow up, play, dream and enjoy life like other children.
