Dharshan is a bright and cheerful 10-year-old boy from the Cuddalore district. He is currently studying in Class 6 at a local Government school. However, behind his smiles lies a silent struggle since the age of six, Dharshan has been suffering from persistent cold, cough, and wheezing. These recurring health issues have not only disrupted his daily routine but have also significantly affected his ability to lead a normal, active childhood.
Recently, Dharshan was taken to a free cardiac screening camp organized by MIOT Hospitals. There, he was diagnosed with a complex and serious congenital heart defect: Large Posterosuperior ASD, PAPVC of RUPV to RA. This condition requires surgical intervention.
The team of specialists at MIOT Hospitals has recommended a combined surgical procedure- ASD closure + rerouting of pulmonary veins to LA. The estimated cost for this critical, life-saving heart surgery is ₹2,80,000.
Dharshan’s family, however, is in no position to afford this treatment. He lost his father, Mr. Bharathiraja, to complications from diabetes. His mother, Ms. Imaiyazahagi, is an agricultural laborer who earns a meager ₹4,000 a month barely enough to provide for their basic needs. She is the sole caregiver and financial provider for the family, and this enormous medical expense is far beyond her means.
We earnestly appeal to your compassion and generosity to help Dharshan receive the urgent care he needs. Your contribution big or small can bring hope to this struggling family and give Dharshan the precious gift of a healthy life and a brighter future.
