Vishnukumar J., a 16-year-6-month-old student from Chennai studying in Class 11 at a Government school, was diagnosed with a serious heart condition following an episode of rheumatic fever.
During a cardiac screening camp organized by MIOT Hospitals, doctors identified signs of Rheumatic Heart Disease and advised him to undergo further evaluation at MIOT Hospitals. After detailed investigations, Vishnukumar was diagnosed with Rheumatic Heart Disease with Severe Mitral Regurgitation, a critical condition requiring elective mitral valve repair surgery at the earliest.
Vishnukumar’s father, Mr. Jaishankar, had passed away, leaving his mother as the family’s sole breadwinner. Working as a domestic helper with a modest monthly income of ₹15,000, she was unable to arrange the ₹3,65,000 required for her son’s life-saving surgery.
With the compassionate support of generous donors, the required funds have now been successfully raised, bringing immense relief to Vishnukumar and his family. He is now preparing to undergo his much-needed heart surgery under the expert care of the cardiac team at MIOT Hospitals.
