Kanushka, a 4-year-old child from Kanchipuram district, was born with a congenital heart condition. At the age of one, she was diagnosed with a congenital valve abnormality and underwent VSD closure, tricuspid valve repair, and pulmonary valvotomy procedures.
Since then, Kanushka has been experiencing facial puffiness, abdominal distension, mild breathlessness, and poor weight gain. She was subsequently taken to MIOT Hospitals for further treatment, where the medical team has recommended early surgery – tricuspid valve repair along with a right BDG procedure to address her condition.
The estimated cost of the procedure is Rs. 3,65,000/-.
Her father, Mr. Ravikumar, is a daily wage laborer, earning just Rs. 250 per day. Struggling to cover his basic living expenses, he is overwhelmed by the additional financial strain of his daughter’s medical treatment, leaving him in a state of despair.
