Oviya is a 9-year-old girl from Cuddalore district, Tamil Nadu. Though she is nine, her growth has been very slow – she looks like a child of only four or five. Her parents, Mr. Vadamalai, who works as a salesman earning just ₹12,000 per month, and Mrs. Malarvizhi, a homemaker, are doing everything they can to care for her.
When Oviya was just 2–3 years old, she was taken to a hospital for a fever checkup. That was when doctors first discovered she had two holes in her heart. The family was told the holes might close on their own as she grew. Over time, one hole closed naturally, but the other remains open and now needs medical treatment.
Recently, after evaluation at MIOT International Hospital, doctors diagnosed Oviya with a small perimembranous VSD – a hole between the heart’s lower chambers.
She has been advised to undergo an elective device closure of the VSD to prevent future complications and help her grow healthy and strong.
The Estimated Cost of the Treatment is ₹2,00,000 this includes the procedure, ICU stay, hospital admission, post-operative investigations, and necessary medications.
For a family surviving on a modest monthly income, ₹2 lakh is an overwhelming amount. Yet this procedure is essential for Oviya’s heart health and overall growth.
Your support no matter how small can help give Oviya a chance at a healthier childhood and a brighter future.
