28 Oct 2025 Priyadharshini, a 12-year-and-6-month-old girl from Thiruvannamalai District, has been struggling with a serious heart condition since infancy. When she was just seven months old, she developed an abnormal heartbeat, cold, and congestion. Despite several consultations at local hospitals, her condition did not improve. Later, when she was taken to a private hospital in Thiruvannamalai, she was diagnosed with a hole in her heart and was advised to seek treatment at a specialized hospital.

The family, however, was helpless and uncertain about where to take her for further care. Through her uncle, they came to know about MIOT Hospital and visited for a detailed evaluation. After thorough medical investigations, Priyadharshini was diagnosed with an Aortopulmonary Window and Severe Pulmonary Hypertension. Doctors have advised her to undergo a surgical closure of the AP Window procedure at the earliest.

The estimated cost of the surgery is Rs. 3,00,000. Priyadharshini’s father, Mr. Mannangatti, works as an agricultural labourer and is unable to afford this life-saving treatment for his daughter.
