Sastivel, a 4-month-old baby from Gummipoondi in Thiruvallur district, began facing health challenges at just 2 months of age when he developed breathing difficulties and was admitted to Government Stanley Hospital. During evaluation, he was diagnosed with a congenital heart disease—something that had shown no symptoms earlier.
He was later referred to a free cardiac screening camp conducted by MIOT Hospital. After detailed investigations, doctors diagnosed him with a Large Perimembranous VSD and a moderate indirect Gerbode defect. Initially managed with medications, his condition worsened with repeated respiratory infections and poor weight gain, leading doctors to advise early heart surgery, including VSD closure and tricuspid valve repair.
With his father working as a bike mechanic earning around ₹10,000–15,000 per month, arranging the required ₹3,25,000 was extremely difficult for the family.
With the compassionate support of generous donors, the required funds have now been successfully raised, bringing immense relief to his family. Baby Sastivel is now preparing to undergo his life-saving treatment under expert medical care.
We extend our sincere gratitude to every donor who stepped forward to support Baby Sastivel. Your kindness has eased a heavy financial burden and brought hope to his family during a challenging time.
Because of you, Baby Sastivel is one step closer to a healthier future.
Thank you for being an essential part of this journey.
