Jeevitha is a 7-year-old girl from Krishnagiri District studying in Class 4 at a Government school. She was born with a congenital heart disease, but as she did not show any symptoms, the condition remained unnoticed for several years.
During a routine health check-up conducted at her school, doctors suspected a heart problem and referred her to a free cardiac screening camp held at the Government Hospital in Krishnagiri. The medical team from MIOT Hospitals carried out an initial evaluation and advised her family to bring her to the hospital for further tests.
After detailed investigations, Jeevitha was diagnosed with Unicuspid Aortic Valve with Severe Aortic Stenosis – a serious heart condition in which the aortic valve has only one leaflet instead of the normal three. This causes difficult for the heart to pump blood properly to the body. If left untreated, it can become life-threatening.
Doctors have advised her to undergo an elective ROSS Procedure, a major heart surgery that can give her a healthy and normal future. The estimated cost of the surgery and treatment is Rs. 4,50,000/-.(including surgery, ICU and hospital stay, post-OP investigations, and medications).
Jeevitha’s father, Mr. Saminathan, is a daily wage agricultural labourer earning around Rs. 600 per day whenever work is available. His income is irregular, and many days he returns home without any earnings. Supporting the family’s basic needs itself is a daily struggle, and arranging such a huge amount for his daughter’s treatment is beyond his means.
We therefore humbly request your kind financial support to help save Jeevitha’s life. Your generous contribution will give this little girl a second chance at life and help her grow up healthy and happy.
