Leena Aaroniya J, a 2 year 6 months old girl from Dharmapuri district, is the youngest of three children in her family. Two months ago, during a routine evaluation she was diagnosed with a Congenital Heart Disease. Although she is currently asymptomatic, further investigations revealed a condition requiring timely treatment.
Leena was referred to a free cardiac screening camp conducted by MIOT Hospitals at the Government Hospital, Dharmapuri. Following a comprehensive evaluation at MIOT Hospitals, doctors diagnosed her with a small PDA with a left-to-right shunt. The medical team advised an elective PDA device closure procedure to prevent future complications and ensure she grows up with a healthy heart.
The total cost of the procedure is ₹1,40,000, which includes the intervention, ICU care, hospital stay, post-operative investigations, medicines, and all necessary medical care.
Leena’s father Mr. Joseph, works as a painter, earning approximately ₹15,000 per month, which barely covers the family’s daily needs. As the sole breadwinner, he is unable to arrange the funds required for his daughter’s life-saving treatment.
Your generosity will not only help save a little girl’s heart but will also give her the opportunity to grow, play, learn, and dream like every other child.
