Urgent Funds Needed to Save Mokith’s Life

12 Aug 2026 Patient photo

Ms. Shankari and Mr. Chinnaraj, hailing from Tiruvallur District, are the parents of 2-year-old Mokith, who was born with a congenital heart disease. When Mokith was just two months old, his parents noticed that he was not gaining weight adequately. Concerned about his health, they took him to various hospitals, where he was diagnosed with a serious heart condition.
A Village Health Nurse who came to know about Mokith’s condition advised his parents to attend a free cardiac screening camp conducted by MIOT Hospitals at Tiruvallur Government Hospital. Following the initial investigations at the camp, Mokith was advised to undergo further evaluation at MIOT Hospitals.
After detailed evaluation, Mokith was diagnosed with a large Ventricular Septal Defect with significant shunt and severe Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension. Considering the severity of his condition, his treating doctors have advised early surgical intervention involving VSD closure and Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA) division. This surgery is essential to close the abnormal opening in his heart, correct the excessive blood flow to the lungs, reduce the strain on his heart and lungs, and prevent further complications, thereby giving him a better chance of leading a healthy life.
The estimated cost of the surgery and treatment is ₹3,00,000/- (Rupees Three Lakhs only) (including surgery, ICU & hospital stay, post-OP investigations, and medications).
Mokith’s father, Mr. Chinnaraj, works as a painter and earns approximately ₹600 per day. His work is irregular and provides an unstable source of income. He is the sole earning member of the family and, with his modest income, he is already struggling to meet the family’s basic day-to-day expenses. The sudden and substantial cost of Mokith’s heart surgery is far beyond the family’s financial capacity.
The family is helpless and desperately seeking support to arrange the funds required for their little son’s life-saving surgery. We humbly appeal to extend financial assistance towards Mokith’s treatment.
Your generous contribution can help this little boy undergo his much-needed heart surgery and give him a second chance at life, a healthier future, and the opportunity to grow up and fulfil his dreams.
