Tharun Kumar, a 5-year-old boy from Chennai, is in need of your kindness and financial support to undergo a heart procedure.
His medical journey began in 2022, when he was just two months old. He developed severe breathing difficulties and was taken to Government Stanley Hospital for treatment. Subsequently, he was advised to attend a free cardiac screening camp conducted by MIOT Hospitals, where he was diagnosed with a heart condition and underwent a Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA) Ligation Procedure.
Recently, during a routine medical follow-up, Tharun Kumar was diagnosed with a moderate-sized Atrial Septal Defect (ASD) with a left-to-right shunt. Following a detailed medical evaluation, the doctors have advised an elective ASD Device Closure procedure to address his heart condition and support his healthy growth.
The estimated cost of the procedure is ₹2,00,000, an amount that is far beyond his family’s financial capacity.
Tharun Kumar’s father, Mr. Madhan Raj, works as a daily-wage labourer, earning approximately ₹500 per day. With no fixed or guaranteed income, he struggles to meet even the family’s basic needs. Despite these hardships, he is doing everything possible to secure the medical care his little son desperately needs.
