Three-year-old Hemadharshini from Krishnagiri district deserves a childhood filled with happiness, laughter, and dreams. But instead of enjoying her childhood, this little girl is fighting a battle against a congenital heart condition.
Hemadharshini was born with Congenital Heart Disease. She attends the ICDS centre in her village, where a routine medical check-up revealed a serious heart problem. She was referred to a free cardiac screening camp conducted by MIOT Hospitals at Government Hospital, Dharmapuri, for further evaluation.
Following detailed medical examinations, she was diagnosed with an AVSD variant, a cleft in the Anterior Mitral Leaflet (AML) with moderate Mitral Regurgitation (MR), and a small Ostium Primum ASD.
Her treating doctor has advised urgent surgical intervention involving Mitral Valve Repair and ASD Closure to address her heart condition and give her a chance at a healthier future.
The estimated cost of the surgery is ₹3,80,000.
Hemadharshini’s father works at a bakery shop as a daily-wage worker, earning just ₹500 a day. His employment is unstable, and his meagre income is barely enough to meet the family’s basic needs.
For a father who dreams of seeing his daughter grow up healthy, arranging ₹3.8 lakh for her heart surgery is an impossible burden. Despite his best efforts, the family is helpless and unable to afford the treatment she urgently needs.
Your support can make the difference between a family’s helplessness and a little girl’s hope.
