Master Saathvik’s Journey of Healing
Saathvik, a 1-year-and-6-month-old child, hails from Chennai. At the age of three months old, he had severe chest congestion, and his paediatrician diagnosed him with congenital heart issues. He was under medication, and while he initially responded to the treatment, he required early surgery due to congenital mitral valve abnormalities, for which early intervention was recommended.
Saathvik’s father, a contract labourer working for daily wages, faced significant emotional and financial challenges as they navigated this difficult journey.
Despite their struggles, Saathvik’s family was determined to seek the best medical care for their son. They connected with a team of dedicated paediatric cardiologists of MIOT Hospitals who outlined a treatment plan that involved a complex surgery: Early Surgery – VSD Closure + Resection of supramitral membrane + Mitral valve repair for correction of the same. The procedure aimed to restore Saathvik’s heart function and improve his quality of life.
The surgery was a success. After several days in the hospital, Saathvik began to show remarkable Master Saathvik’s Journey of Healing improvement. His energy levels surged, and he gradually resumed his playful nature. The doctors monitored his recovery closely, and each follow-up visit brought good news. Saathvik’s heart was healing, and the family’s joy was palpable.
Today, Saathvik is a thriving, active toddler, full of laughter and curiosity. His father, relieved and grateful, shares their story with others to inspire hope and resilience. Saathvik is not just a survivor; he is a symbol of hope for many families facing similar struggles.
