Lathik, a 1-year-and-6-month-old child from Dindigul district, at just one month old, he developed a high fever accompanied by severe diarrhoea. His worried parents rushed him to a local clinic, where the attending doctor, upon examination, suspected an underlying heart condition. Considering the seriousness of the symptoms, the doctor immediately referred the child to a Government Hospital for a detailed cardiac evaluation.
At the Government Hospital, after undergoing several tests, Lathik was diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot, so the medical team there advised the parents to seek further treatment in a Government hospital in Chennai for advanced management.
During this difficult time, a family friend recommended MIOT Hospitals. Hoping for a better chance for their child, the parents brought Lathik to MIOT for further evaluation. After detailed assessments, the paediatric cardiac team confirmed that the child urgently requires an early intracardiac repair procedure to correct the structural defects in his heart and ensure his survival.
The estimated cost of the surgery and associated treatment is Rs. 3,50,000. Lathik’s father, Mr. Sivaguru, works at a supermarket and earns a modest monthly income of Rs. 15,000. As the sole earning member of the family, he is already struggling to meet their basic household needs. With his limited financial means, arranging such a large amount for urgent, life-saving treatment has become an overwhelming burden. The family is emotionally and financially distressed, desperately hoping for support to save their child.
At this critical moment, we humbly appeal for your generous financial assistance. Your support can give this little child the chance to live a healthy life and bring immense relief to a family fighting against all odds.
