Hariharan. V T, a 4-month-old infant from Royapuram, Chennai, was born prematurely at a Government Hospital and required hospitalization for 12 days after birth. At around one month of age, he was taken for a medical review, where he was diagnosed with Congenital Heart Disease and was placed on regular follow-up.
As part of his ongoing care, Hariharan was advised to attend a free cardiac screening camp conducted by MIOT Hospitals at Stanley Government Hospital. Following the initial investigations at the camp, he was advised to undergo further evaluation and treatment at MIOT Hospitals.
After detailed evaluation, Hariharan was diagnosed with a complex congenital cardiac condition – Scimitar Syndrome PAPVC, Hypoplastic right lung, Aortopulmonary collateral vessel, Moderate-sized Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA). Considering the severity of his condition, his treating doctors have advised early cardiac intervention to prevent further complications and support adequate blood circulation and lung function.
Hariharan has been advised to undergo cardiac catheterization with occlusion of the abnormal aortopulmonary collateral vessel and closure of the PDA.
The estimated cost of Hariharan’s surgery and treatment is ₹3,00,000/- (Rupees Three Lakhs only). This estimate includes the cardiac procedure, ICU care, hospital stay, post-operative investigations, and medications.
Hariharan’s father, Mr. Thirunavukarasu, works as a reception assistant in a hostel and earns approximately ₹27,000 per month. He is the sole earning member of the family and is already struggling to meet the family’s basic day-to-day needs. The substantial cost of his son’s cardiac treatment is therefore far beyond the family’s financial capacity.
The family is helpless and desperately seeking support to arrange the funds required for their little son’s life-saving treatment. We humbly appeal to extend financial assistance towards Hariharan’s medical care.
Your generous contribution can help Hariharan receive the urgent cardiac treatment he needs and give this little child a second chance at life, a healthier future, and the opportunity to grow up and fulfil his dreams.
