Jeevitha, a 7-year-old girl from Krishnagiri District studying in Class 4 at a Government school, was born with a congenital heart disease that remained undetected for several years as she showed no symptoms.
During a routine health check-up conducted at her school, doctors suspected a heart condition and referred her to a free cardiac screening camp held at the Government Hospital, Krishnagiri. Following an initial evaluation by the MIOT Hospitals medical team, she underwent further investigations at MIOT Hospitals.
Jeevitha was diagnosed with Unicuspid Aortic Valve with Severe Aortic Stenosis, a serious congenital heart condition that makes it difficult for the heart to pump blood effectively. To correct the condition and provide her with a healthier future, doctors recommended an elective ROSS Procedure, a complex and life-saving heart surgery.
Jeevitha’s father, Mr. Saminathan, is a daily wage agricultural labourer with an irregular income, making it impossible for the family to arrange the required ₹4,50,000 for her surgery and treatment.
With the compassionate support of generous donors, the required funds have now been successfully raised, bringing immense relief to Jeevitha and her family. She is now preparing to undergo her much-needed heart surgery under the expert care of the cardiac team at MIOT Hospitals.
