Dharshini. P, a 3-year-8-month-old girl from Dharmapuri district, was just 45 days old when she was admitted with a respiratory infection. During her treatment, doctors diagnosed her with a congenital heart disease. Since then, her parents have been living with the hope of getting her the treatment she needs.
Recently, a Village Health Nurse advised Dharshini’s parents to attend the free cardiac screening camp conducted by MIOT Hospitals at the Government Hospital, Dharmapuri. After the initial evaluation, she was referred to MIOT Hospitals for further investigations.
Doctors diagnosed Dharshini with a small PDA with left-to-right shunt and a small posterior muscular VSD. Her treating cardiologist has advised an elective PDA device closure procedure. The estimated cost of the procedure is ₹1,40,000.
Dharshini belongs to a poor agricultural family. Her father works as a daily-wage agricultural labourer, earning around ₹300 per day, with no assured employment or regular income. He is the sole breadwinner of the family, and his earnings are barely enough to meet their basic household expenses. With no savings or other source of income, arranging the cost of his daughter’s treatment is beyond the family’s means.
We sincerely appeal for your generous financial support to help Dharshini undergo the required procedure. Your contribution can give this little girl the chance to live a healthy, happy, and brighter future.
