Gowtham, a native of Thiruvallur district, is the only son of Ms. Kavitha and is currently studying in Class I at a Government School. He was born prematurely at 34 weeks of gestation and was diagnosed with complex congenital heart disease, along with a congenital deformity of his right upper limb.
Since birth, Gowtham has faced numerous health challenges and has undergone several procedures in the hope of leading a healthy life. In July 2022, he was diagnosed with pulmonary arterial and venous hypertension and underwent PA banding, atrial septectomy, and division of the ductal ligament. More recently, in March 2026, he underwent cardiac catheterization. Based on his current condition, his treating doctors have advised another major corrective surgery consisting of PA banding, atrial septectomy, and left pulmonary artery (LPA) plasty.
The estimated cost of the surgery is ₹3,50,000, which includes the expenses for surgery, ICU care, hospital stay, post-operative investigations, and medications.
Gowtham’s family is going through immense hardship. His father abandoned the family due to the child’s prolonged medical condition. His mother, Ms. Kavitha, is herself a diabetic patient with severe vision problems, making it difficult for her to earn a livelihood. She currently lives with her elderly mother, who helps care for Gowtham. The family struggles to meet even their basic daily needs and is completely unable to bear the cost of this life-saving treatment.
We earnestly appeal to you to extend your financial support for Gowtham’s surgery. Your contribution will bring him one step closer to a healthy life, giving this little boy the opportunity to grow, learn, and dream like every other child.
