Baby Miracline Riana is a three-month-old infant from Adambakkam, Chennai, who has been facing serious health challenges since birth. Soon after her birth in a private hospital, she developed severe breathing difficulties and bluish discoloration of her body. She was immediately referred to a Government Hospital, where doctors diagnosed her with Down syndrome and a congenital heart disease.

Seeking the best possible care for their little daughter, her parents consulted specialists at another private hospital. Following detailed evaluations, Miracline was diagnosed with a Complete Balanced Atrioventricular Septal Defect (AVSD), a serious congenital heart condition requiring timely surgical correction.

Following medical advice, the family approached MIOT Hospitals, where the paediatric cardiac team recommended early AVSD repair surgery to treat her condition and support her future health. The estimated cost of the surgery was ₹4,50,000/-, including ICU care, hospital stay, investigations, and medications.

Miracline’s father, Mr. Ravichandran, works as an executive in a private company and earns approximately ₹15,000 per month. Her mother, Ms. Monisha, who was also employed in the same company, had to leave her job to care for their baby. The family now depends on a single modest income and is struggling to meet even their daily expenses.

As loving parents, they were doing everything possible to save their only child, but arranging the substantial amount required for her surgery was beyond their financial capacity.

With the compassionate support of generous donors, the required funds have now been successfully raised. This support has brought immense relief to Miracline’s family and has helped her move closer to receiving her much-needed heart surgery under the expert care of the paediatric cardiac team at MIOT Hospitals.
