Ms. Malar and Mr. Ravi, daily wage labourers from Dharmapuri district, are struggling to save their only daughter, 14-year-old Sadhana.
Sadhana was born with a congenital heart condition. When she was just 2 years old, she began experiencing breathing difficulties whenever she had a cold or cough. After visiting several hospitals, doctors diagnosed her with a “hole in the heart” and advised her parents that it could be treated when she grew older.
Recently, during a general health check-up at her school, doctors again suspected a heart problem. She was referred to a free cardiac screening camp at the Government Hospital in Dharmapuri. After initial tests, she was advised to seek further treatment at MIOT Hospitals.
At MIOT Hospitals, Sadhana was diagnosed with a small membrano-muscular VSD (a hole in the heart). Doctors have recommended a VSD device closure procedure, which will help correct her condition and improve her quality of life. The estimated cost of this life-saving treatment is ₹2,00,000.
Sadhana’s parents earn only about ₹300 per day and are unable to afford this expensive treatment. Their situation is even more heartbreaking as they have already lost two children in the past. Sadhana is their only hope.
In addition to her heart condition, Sadhana also faces speech delay, hearing impairment, and is currently being evaluated for possible vision problems. Despite these challenges, she continues to fight bravely every day.
Today, her parents are helpless and in desperate need of support.
Your contribution can help Sadhana get the treatment she urgently needs and give her a second chance at life.
