Sameera, a 7-year-old child from Chennai, was identified with a serious heart condition at the age of four during a routine school health check-up. She was referred to Stanley Medical College Hospital, where further evaluation revealed a large Ostium Secundum Atrial Septal Defect (OS ASD). Since then, she has been under regular medical care.
Recently, Sameera was referred to a free cardiac camp organized by MIOT Hospitals at Stanley Medical College Hospital. Following further evaluation, doctors at MIOT Hospitals have recommended an elective ASD device closure procedure to treat her heart condition.
The estimated cost of the procedure is ₹2,00,000 – an amount that is far beyond her family’s financial capacity.
Sameera’s father, Mr. Santakumar, is an electrician and earns approximately ₹800 per day, with work that is irregular and unstable. He is the sole earning member of the family and struggles to meet their daily household expenses. Despite his best efforts, arranging ₹2,00,000 for his daughter’s treatment is impossible for him.
We humbly appeal to extend financial support towards Sameera’s treatment. Your kindness today can help give Sameera a healthier tomorrow.
