Yakshini Mani, a 10-year-old girl from Dharmapuri district, is studying in Class 6 at a government school. She appeared to be healthy and had no noticeable symptoms when she attended a health camp conducted at her school. During the camp, doctors suspected a cardiac condition and referred her for further evaluation.
She subsequently attended a free cardiac screening camp conducted by MIOT Hospitals at Dharmapuri Medical College Hospital. Following the initial investigations, she was advised to undergo further evaluation at MIOT Hospitals.
The doctors have now diagnosed Yakshini Mani with a Large Ostium Secundum Atrial Septal Defect (ASD), a hole between the upper chambers of the heart. She has been advised to undergo an ASD device closure procedure, with an estimated cost of ₹2,00,000.
Her father, Mr. Mani, works as a bus driver and earns a monthly income of ₹20,000. With this limited income, he is struggling to arrange the funds required for his daughter’s treatment.
Despite their difficult circumstances, the family is determined to provide Yakshini with the medical care she needs so that she can continue her education and look forward to a healthy future.
Your support can help this young girl receive the treatment she urgently needs and give her the opportunity to pursue her education, dreams, and a healthy life ahead.
