Dhanuvarsha is a 1-year-and-4-month-old child from Dharmapuri District. When she was just 2 months old, she developed breathing difficulties and was taken to a private hospital for treatment, where she was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect (hole in the heart). Over time, the child began to experience weight loss.
As her breathing problems recurred, she was taken to several government hospitals. However, due to her low body weight and poor growth, surgery could not be performed. Her parents, who come from a very poor socio-economic background, are illiterate and were extremely worried about their child’s worsening condition.
A Village Health Nurse from their locality became aware of Dhanuvarsha’s health condition and referred her to a free cardiac screening camp conducted by MIOT Hospitals at Dharmapuri Government Hospital. After evaluation, she was advised to visit MIOT Hospitals for further treatment. Following detailed investigations, she was diagnosed with Large Perimembranous Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD) with Severe Hyperkinetic PAH. The medical team has advised elective VSD closure surgery. The estimated cost of the procedure is Rs. 2,80,000/-.
Dhanuvarsha’s father, Mr. Krishnan, is a daily-wage laborer with no stable employment and takes up any available labor work to support his family. Due to their financial constraints, the family is unable to afford the life-saving surgery for their only daughter.
Therefore, we humbly request financial assistance to help save this little girl’s life and give her a chance at a healthy and hopeful future.
