Venkatraman J., a cheerful 2-year-and-4-month-old boy from Tirupathur district, was diagnosed with congenital heart disease when he was just six months old. His parents first took him to the Government Hospital after noticing that he was frequently falling sick and had difficulty feeding. Upon medical evaluation, the doctors identified a congenital heart defect and advised continuous monitoring and follow-up care.
As part of his ongoing treatment, Venkatraman was referred to a free cardiac screening camp organised by MIOT Hospitals, Chennai. During the evaluation he was diagnosed with Large ASD shunt, Fenestrated IA septum with multiple defects.
The medical team have recommended an elective ASD surgical closure procedure. The estimated cost of the surgery is Rs. 2,60,000. Given the family’s financial condition, arranging such an amount is beyond their means.
Venkatraman’s father, Mr. Jothi, is a hardworking daily wage earner who makes a living throughaar embroidery work. He earns approximately Rs. 500 per day, and his income is irregular, depending on the availability of work.
Venkatraman’s mother is a homemaker who devotes her time to caring for her son and managing the household. With their limited income, the family is unable to bear the high cost of heart surgery and postoperative care.
We earnestly appeal to your kindness and generosity to help save little Venkatraman’s life. Your kindness today can give Venkatraman the gift of life and a bright future.
