Vetrivel, a 17-year-old young boy resident of Chennai district, has faced significant health challenges from an early age. In 2011, he underwent a corrective surgery for Tetralogy of Fallot (a complex congenital heart defect).Recently, he has been diagnosed with severe pulmonary regurgitation, LPA origin stenosis, and RV dysfunction at MIOT Hospitals.
After thorough evaluation, the medical team has planned for an urgent surgical intervention: pulmonary valve replacement. This life-saving procedure is estimated to cost Rs. 4,50,000/-.
Vetrivel’s family is in deep financial distress. He tragically lost his father in an accident, and his mother, the only earning member, is doing her best to make ends meet. Despite her determination, the cost of the surgery is far beyond what she can manage.
