Hemashree

27 Nov 2025 Patient photo Hemashree is a 2 year 2 month old child from Chennai district. When she was 2 days old, she had a hypocalcemic seizure and was treated in the ICU. She was also diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot. At 2 months of age she had another hypocalcemic episode and was treated in a government hospital, where she was diagnosed with DiGeorge syndrome. She has been on regular treatment at the government hospital.

During a free cardiac screening camp conducted by MIOT Hospitals, she was diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot, Right aortic arch with isolation of left subclavian artery with atretic ductus. She has been advised to undergo elective surgery for Intracardiac repair and reimplantation of the left subclavian artery. The total cost of the surgery is Rs. 3,65,000/-, a sum beyond her family’s means.

Hemashree’s father, Mr Manikandan, is an electrician in an unstable job and earns a modest income to support the family and manage his daughter’s medical expenses. Despite their best efforts, they cannot afford the surgery on their own. Your generous contribution can give Hemashree a chance at a healthy and happy future.
