Arjun Joseph, a two-year-old child hails from Dharmapuri district, After birth, he faced significant health challenges and was admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) for one month due to birth complications. During this period, he was diagnosed with congenital heart disease.
In 2024, Arjun developed a liver condition that required him to undergo a splenectomy. His health struggles continued into 2025 when he was taken to MIOT Hospitals for further evaluation and treatment of his heart condition. There, he was diagnosed with a moderate to large malaligned subaortic Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD) and a subaortic membrane causing moderate Left Ventricular Outflow Tract Obstruction (LVOTO).
The medical team recommended early surgical intervention involving VSD closure and resection of the subaortic membrane. The estimated cost of the procedure was ₹2,80,000.
Arjun’s father, Mr. Joseph Sagayaraj, is a painter who earns ₹500 per day. Despite his best efforts, he was unable to arrange the full amount required for his son’s treatment. Understanding the urgency of the situation, we extended a financial support towards Arjun’s medical expenses.
On 14.05.2025, Arjun successfully underwent the planned cardiac procedure and was subsequently discharged from the hospital. He is now in recovery, continuing his medications, and is scheduled for his next medical review in two months.
